This event originally included Paul Almond, one of Canada's preeminent film and television directors. The directors and staff of the Pages Unbound Festival were devastated at the news of Paul's passing, and will be paying tribute to him as part of this event.

Some artists visualize, some artists write prose. Some artists do both. These three artists direct films and write books. In a far-ranging set of presentations and discussion, their creative processes will be explored.

Martyn Burke is a novelist and director/writer of both documentaries and dramatic films who has travelled the world and used his experience in a wide variety of work.
